Hood Options

Once you have decided on the basic range hood style (under cabinet range hood, wall mount range hood, euro-style wall mount range hood, euro-style island range hood or liner insert), you still have choices regarding available options.

Lighting Options

Halogen lights
(H models - see below)—standard in most models. 50-watt halogen lights come with a dual switch for dimming to 25 watts. Bulbs included. For hoods 24" to 41" wide, two lights; 42" to 53" wide, three lights; 54" to 66" wide, four lights. Each island hood has four halogen lights—one in each corner.

Hoods are also available with fluorescent lights upon request. Fluorescent light hoods do not feature the SensaSourceŽ two speed motor and heat sensor.

Warming light bar
(WBAR model - see above)—available in most 18" tall and taller wall-mount hoods. Light bar housing is made of stainless steel in all hoods. Bulbs not included. Not available in Island or Euro-style hoods.

Warming light housing (WL-1 - see left)—available in most under-cabinet models. Light housing is made of stainless steel in all hoods. Bulbs not included. Not available in Island or Euro-style hoods.

Standard Finishes

Standard powder-coat smooth finishes—almond, biscuit, black (satin), graphite gray*, gunsmoke, or white. Also available in special colors*; ask for the Vent-A-Hood custom color chart.

* Additional charges apply.

Textured powder-coat finishes—black river, copper vein**, emerald vein, gold vein**, silver vein, or white river.

** These paint colors are used for interior colors on real copper or real brass hoods. If desired, the entire hood may be painted with these colors. Additional charges may apply.

Stainless steel.

Metal overlay—real brass, real copper, or hammered copper. Powder-coat interior standard. Stainless steel interior available upon request. Real brass and real copper hoods oxidize and/or tarnish over time, and therefore will require regular polishing.

Decorative Bands

Vertical bands (see right) —1” or 2” 18-gauge vertical bands. Bands are laminated to the hood standard, specify if bands are to be attached with rivet caps or hex nuts. 1” or 2” 24-gauge vertical bands are also available; these bands are attached to hood with either rivet caps or hex nuts.

1/4” thick copper vertical bands. (See left) Only attached to hood using rivets.

Lip Treatment

A band of any of the painted finishes or metals can also be attached to the front of the lip. 18–gauge lip treatment (see left) with full-lip coverage. Lip treatment is laminated to the hood standard, specify if bands are to be attached with rivet caps or hex nuts. May be used in conjunction with pot rail.

24-gauge lip treatment (see right) partially “reveals” the lip around the beveled edges. Attached to hood with either rivet caps or hex nuts. Cannot be used in conjunction with pot rail.

Warming Shelf Assembly

Warming shelves are a great addition to hoods equipped with warming lamps. The warming shelf assembly is the same width as the hood you choose and 15" tall. Includes two wire shelves standard, shelves are 10" tall by 14" wide.

Pot Rails

5/8" diameter brass or chrome rails (see left) add a beautiful effect on any style hood. Specify pot rail for front and/or sides on under cabinet and wall mount hoods.

Stainless steel galley rail (see right) is included standard on CWLH9 and CILH9 hoods. Also available as an option on other selected models.

Fixed length stainless steel rail (see left) is included standard on GTH, ZTH, and IZTH hoods. Also available as an option on other selected models.
